About Lana
Licensed Massage Therapist & Owner I MAT-14232
My journey with embodiment began at the young age as a dedicated and competitive gymnast in New York. Over the next 15 years, I developed a deep proprioceptive awareness and a strong connection with my body. This passion led me to spend several years coaching and teaching gymnastics, further deepening my insights into the body and its incredible healing potential.
In 2011, I moved to the Big Island and became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). During my studies, I immersed myself in various therapeutic modalities, including Lomi Lomi, Swedish and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and Hawaiian herbal practices, complemented by studies in hula. My education continued with advanced studies in Cranialsacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. Alongside these pursuits, I nurtured my passion for movement therapy for both children and adults while living in a vibrant circus community in the jungle.
In 2019, my husband and I launched our first business together, Essential Medicine, a healing center for integrative therapies. During this transformative time, we welcomed two beautiful children into our lives. Alongside the rhythms of motherhood, I continued to teach Aerial Yoga and movement therapy. Eventually, I returned to bodywork with a focus on nervous system support and graceful aging practices. My studies in Sculptural Facelifting, Somatic Experiencing, and the Adult Attachment Repair Model have allowed me to create a uniquely impactful treatment, which I have refined into what I now call Somatic Face Sculpting.
Today, I reside on the island of Maui with my husband, Chris, and our two toddlers. Living in harmony with the rhythms of nature, and I am passionate about offering my uniquely curated Somatic Face Sculpting treatment, dedicated to helping others connect deeply with their own bodies and experience their most resilient and expressed selves.

Midwife Assistant & Doula
I was probably 4 or 5 years old, laying on the floor of my auntie’s treatment room, laughing at my mom’s face being smooshed in the face cradle of the massage table. I remember the smells of various floral and woodsy scents, the music, my auntie’s tone of voice, and how different my mom was before and after we would leave. I spent so much time in the small yurt my auntie practiced in, with the freedom of playing in her garden as my mom would receive her massage. I didn’t realize at the time that I would be returning to this space for my own transformative healing - after years of dissociation, trauma, and dysregulation.
At 6 years old I fought cancer through radiation and chemotherapy. Holding deep experiences that challenged my understanding of safety, trust, and care. My family friend and auntie - Autumn, invited me to receive a massage from her when I was 17 years old. I was whole heartedly introduced to a relationship with my body that set the tone for the care I aspire to provide others today.
As my relationship to my healing continued to expand, I was led to study at the California College of Ayurveda to learn about eastern medicine - as well as Cypress Health Institute and Esalen to practice polarity therapy and various massage modalities.
In 2018, I came to Maui to study Hawaiian culture, lomi lomi, and lāʻau lapaʻau. My practice continues to be an embodiment of care that is deeply in tune with not only the body, but the sensorial experience we have with place as well. I am constantly inspired by various cultures that have a primary relationship with the land to provide healing, connection, resource, and nourishment.
I see the body as a multilayered being that beacons intentional care and emotional attunement - as we learn to be more present to our specific needs and integrate our life experiences. Being able to witness ourselves in our wholeness
